Hello, you only need a degree for the military if you want to be an Officer...to join as an enlisted soldier, you will need a high school diploma. I would suggest visiting the US Marine Corp/USMC website for more information and visiting a recruiting office when you are in high school with your parents consent.
Good luck! :)

James’s Answer

Degree only needed if you desire to be an officer. If you wish to enlist, it is not required. It does make you more competitive for promotion if you have a degree. It sets you apart from your peers.

You will need to get your high school education to join any branch of the military. If you do get a college degree first you can look into becoming an officer. I would highly recommend reaching out to a recruiter during your 11th year in high school. Additionally in high school I also recommend looking into JROTC/ROTC programs available and join them as well since that can count towards your enlistment for ranking and will give you a little bit of a preview.
