Kim’s Answer

There really isn't a best one. Think about what kind of law you want to practice. Business law? Major in business. Environmental Law? Major in environmental science. Criminal Law? Criminal Justice. etc.

What is more important is that you learn certain things from your undergrad education. Logic (a great course!!!). Speech. Debate. Time Management. Study skills. Note taking. Writing. Thinking. More writing. Solid computer skills.

Law schools are looking for diverse student bodies. Your school may have a recommended pre-law curriculum. Check into it!

Fiona’s Answer

I did a degree in commerce - accounting major. It depends on what you want to do in the future, for me, basic accounting knowledge has been helpful because i eventually became a banking and finance lawyer.

Pro’s Answer

If there's a certain area of law you want to specialize in, you could major in whatever that is. If you have multiple interests, Try an Interdisciplinary, Liberal Studies, or General Studies major, that will let you combine multiple interests. Or an Individually Designed major that you can even name yourself.
