How do you get connections in film/production?
I'm going back to college and also changing my major. And it's around this time where I have to start looking for internships and/or apprenticeship that relates to the major that I choose. Is there any place or people that I can meet where I can get connections in order to pursue this? #majors #internships #college #university

The first thing that would help with your career efforts is to get to know yourself well enough to be sure that you area making a choice that is in line with your personality traits and then talking face to face and in person with people who are involved in your target area (especially since it has a tendency to change) to confirm that you are indeed headed into a suitable are that will provide satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment.
Getting to know yourself and how your personality traits relate to people involved in various career opportunities is very important in your decision making process. During my many years in Human Resources and College Recruiting, I ran across too many students who had skipped this very important step and ended up in a job situation which for which they were not well suited. Selecting a career area is like buying a pair of shoes. First you have to be properly fitted for the correct size, and then you need to try on and walk in the various shoe options to determine which is fits the best and is most comfortable for you to wear.
