I want to act but have no clue what school I need to go to

Go to the individual college's websites to see what classes they offer. Mostly all colleges offer theatre classes. I would be more specific in this but you didn't mention if you wanted to go away to college or stay nearby your town. Julliard, New York University, University of Southern California and the University of California at Los Angeles are among my favorite schools for actors. Oh, and also Yale and Harvard.

You may want to take good advantage of any plays or shows that your school is currently doing until you graduate. Even if you work backstage, you will learn a lot just by being around the activity. You'll get a real feel for it working backstage.

You will make an informed decision after you discover each college's offerings and know how close to home you want to stay.
