A criminal justice degree usually leads to a career in law enforcement, unless you also go to law school to be an attorney. Police work is available everywhere, it is just dangerous.

Hello There! I am originally from Brownsville, Texas. I would look into working with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It is one of the world's largest law enforcement organizations and is charged with keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the US.  You can also look into jobs with the Department of Homeland Security.  Other options always include being a police officer. Both organizations have job postings. I encourage you to look at them to get a better idea.
