How do I know what my min pay should be

I have been going on job interviews and never know what I should respond for my minimum wage requirement. How do I answer that without shortchanging myself. #minimumwage #ineedaraise #finance #money

Hi Jose,
You can use salary.com and Glassdoor for estimates on salaries and pay.
You can add location, experience and few other parameters to make the estimates more accurate on these sites. Keep in mind these are averages. Make sure to look at the ranges of salaries for a position. Start with the higher end of the salary when you are negotiating ( if you are negotiating for pay )

LinkedIn and other job searching sites should provide salary ranges. It helps to identify a few key job titles and search based off of those. Remember location and experience can play a factor. If you have very limited experience, I would expect to be on the lower end of the pay range.

Hi Jose,

There is a great website used to benchmark your salary to similar job positions in the same area/city/state which could be really helpful to check before accepting an offer. Also this website offers estimated salaries for different entities as people register their earned salaries and you would be able to make useful comparisons. The website is "Glassdoor" you can google it.
