What if FASFA doesn't show my income correctly?
My parents make a good amount of money but I am paying for college on my own. I need more aid but I don't know how to get it besides scholarships and my job. #money #income

Hi Keely:
You should contact FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) directly. You may be eligible to have your financial aid adjusted. See the links before for additional information. Best of luck to you!

Here are a few thing you can try to boost your income for school expenses. Consider looking at internships with the government. www. USAJOBS.gov. The site lists jobs that are available to college students and they often come with benefits. In addition, there are some special programs that help with tuition based on your major. Contact your school financial aid office because they use the data from the FASFA to determine your aid. Some companies also have special programs designed to recruit students for employment by paying their tuition in exchange to an agreement to work for them. I am not sure of your major, but there are groups that are working on recruiting people for STEM by offering financial incentives. Good Luck!
