Hi Jordan,

Best time to start is as soon as you are over with the first year. Even if you get internship in the mid of your first year just go for it!

All the best!

Start applying for internships as early as possible. I would say you could start as early as the summer before you start your 1st year. The more internship experience you can put on your resume, the better. Your 3rd year is when you become most competitive for summer internships because that's when you have the most amount of academic experience / have taken more relevant classes. However, do NOT wait until then to start looking! The more internships you have the better, and the only way to get more is to get a head start. I honestly cannot stress this enough. If I could broadcast this message to all freshmen, I would!
