Hey Peyton, I've been in professional baseball for two years and I have loved it. It takes a lot of effort and dedication. Guys that can outwork their peers and focus on their game can definitely surpass and play longer than guys who only rely on their physical ability. No matter what level you are playing at make sure you are giving your best effort, whether you are winning, losing, playing well or playing terribly it is very important that your effort is not lacking. Find a position that you are best at or a baseball skill that you are particularly good at it and emphasize it. Be the best hitter, be the fastest runner, the best pitcher, fielder, whatever your strength is make sure to continually build on it. Play hard, compete and be a good teammate.

Hi Peyton- Have you tried out for or are you on any traveling teams? Also have you won any awards and/or received any special recognition for playing? As they say, practice makes perfect. For instance, if you are able to play college baseball, you still have to pick a major and maintain on or about a 2.6 GPA. I am sure you want to play baseball for a Division One College/University, however students who have played for Division two schools have been recruited to play Semi-Pro in Europe and Professional Ball in USA . I recall, on my brother's college football team, which was a Division 3 Team in NJ, his teammate received a three year contract to play (sit on the bench) Professional Football for about 70,000 a year. However, this individual tested positive for steroids and was terminated.
You may have something special or different that catches a Professional Team's attention. Please keep in mind that many talented players have been overlooked, because colleges and professional teams view their players as a business. Good luck and go for it! You never know when your dreams will occur.
