How do I find scholarships that I am eligible for?

I am looking for scholarships to apply to, and it seems as if each one has to do with nursing, being an athlete, or you can only apply if you're a part of a certain "club". I also cannot apply for any financial-need based scholarships based on my parent's incomes. How do I find scholarships in which I fit the criteria in order to help fund my college tuition? #scholarship #money

I would check the college foundation web page, at the college you attend, and see which financial scholarships you are eligible to apply for.

Normally, foundations are privately supported entities, within the college structure, where donors and benefactors, set up scholarships to support student academic goals.

Many of these scholarships are oriented towards certain classifications or majors. This can include nursing, social work, athletics, engineering majors, social sciences, humanities, and other subjects.

As far as athletics, I would log into the college athletics website and complete their "information or recruiting" questionaire, and request more documents on available scholarships for your sport or specialty.

You can go to your high school counselor or if you're in college, your advisor will advise you. Also, you can try government agencies. The US Department of Labor offers a free scholarship search tool.

Hello,

You can find information on all kinds of scholarships and grants via google searching for scholarships or grants. There are also books available with list of scholarships available at your local library. You can also search on terms like "Financial Aid", "grants". Lastly, check with the colleges you are interested in and your local guidance counselor.
