Not at all. It's totally under your control. What you put in is what you get out. What I mean by that is this, as long as you study and manage your time to complete assignments, you will be just fine. And dont just study to say you studied. But truly study to understand the material. Review information twice if you have to, thats what I do. But no, college work is only as hard as you make it. I hope this helps.

Hi there!
College can be daunting, but it is definitely not "bad".
I found some of my classes in college to be some of the most enlightening experiences I've ever had, so you can definitely look forward to learning new things, and understanding the world around you in a more comprehensive way.
The biggest thing I would say is that the work is different from high school work. Most colleges expect you to manage your time - they will give you large assignments that are due at the end of the semester, and expect you to budget out how much time you need to spend on them. They will not remind you, or check in with you like high school teachers, and expect you to basically manage it yourself.
You can expect to study more, but you will definitely get out of it what you put in!

Hi David,
College work is not necessarily bad, just different. I was pleasantly surprised at how prepared I was for college when I began, and I felt supported by my professors. The content seemed to align with what I had previously learned in high school, and I felt the transition went well. Making sure that you have a balance between school work and personal time will certainly impact your ability to have a successful experience. If you are concerned about the workload, consider speaking with an academic counselor to pick courses that will not overwhelm your schedule, and allow you to succeed in your education.

Hi David,
College work is not bad but it is just about learning to balance your personal life with college work like assignments, tests, projects etc. It takes sometime but you learn. Just keep in mind you need to be patient, hard working and don't get too overwhelmed. I have been through two schools - One in India for my undergrad Engineering degree and one in USA for my MBA. Both were great once I got a hang of things. I am sure you will too so don't worry. Just keep at it, be positive and take it easy :).
