Oh, Marla! Yes! It is often so frustrating to work in theater. There are so many people trying to audition for each role, and there are so few roles available. I'm always frustrated when a big role I'm passionate about goes away, or when a show folds. It can be incredibly frustrating. That said, there's a real rush when it all goes well. I just wish it were more often. Are you self-driven? Can you handle rejection after rejection and still show up with a smile on your face? Do you find your happiness from within? Acting can certainly be frustrating. You need to know that up front.
