What steps did you take to become a Nanosystem Engineer?

I am currently enrolled at Fred G. Acosta Job Corps and will be going into Electrical Wiring as the trade to be trained in. Do you think this would be a good place to start?

Ben’s Answer

From a friend who has a Masters in Nanoengineering.

"Electrical wiring would probably train you in the fundamentals of electronics and especially circuit theory, but perhaps only for the purpose of building wiring and power grid type things. In nano-electronics this knowledge would certainly be helpful, but you would be better off trained in things like semiconductor physics, material science, or nanofabrication."
