Long hours and disappointment.
Thank you comment icon Hi Michael, I appreciate the honesty but this answer isn't the most helpful. Can you explain how it's been a disappointment? Gurpreet Lally, Admin

Your honest answer is mechanics in the air force (cant speak for other branches) have bad and long work hours sometimes. They travel alot which can be fun be they work very hard. You should actually find someone who is an aircraft mechanic for a commercial company and see how they like it versus someone in the military.

Steve’s Answer

It can be very long hours, but very rewarding at the same time. A lot is on the line when you are fixing an aircraft. Procedures MUST be followed by the book, no shortcuts. Getting an aircraft back up and running after a long period of maintenance has been very rewarding for me, a sensed of accomplishment when you see it launch again
