Steven’s Answer

Good grades are step one aiming for above a 2:1 which is 3.2 GPA I think. Have a great personal statement Then ace the entrance exam.

But lots of people do this. what stands out is experience and references so seeing practice with many vets (large an small) and get a good reference if you can. Also spending times on farms, research centres animal shelters. Show them from your experience you can be a work in team and have leadership attributes.

Daryl’s Answer

I had a friend that went to veterinary school when I was in school that lived on a farm and left her town to pursue her dream and goals. Only as a suggestion. Specialize in certain types of animals. Research problems that are occuring with certain animals or therapies and then focus on an area you enjoy or want to help. What comes out of that only you will know, but it's a start! Good luck!

Daryl recommends the following next steps:

Research veterinary studies, animal injury/endangered problems and past successful veterinarians and read and take away what you think may be important and then go aak questions.
Decide how you think you can contribute.
Choose a veterinary college.
