What field are you interested in? Biology, chemistry, geology? I think that will determine where you can start looking for opportunities.

I would agree with Andrea's comment. If you identified your field a little better we could provide more specific answers. If you are interested in the Biology sector, one method would be to do undergrad research or volunteer in a lab.
