Architects? Depends on your skill and demand. If your working on World Trade Centers and sky scrapers, you’ll move around. On the opposite side of the coin, if your doing small brick houses, probably not too far.

It depends on projects you are on, usually architects travel onsite to look for site condition and environment. But if you are asking for how many travels could an architecture student do, I'd say there is a lot! Architecture schools usually have budget to take students to visit cities/master pieces which has lots of travels.
