What subjects should I take in A levels if I’m planning to do either graphic design or fine arts? My software skills aren’t very good which concerns me about my consideration taking graphic design in the future, whereas fine arts is a risky choice.

Would a foundation course or A-levels be more of a smart move before heading off to university? Heard that many universities in Europe would only accept A-level students. But I’m afraid that I wouldn’t be able to develop my portfolio. #design #college for entry.

I think it depends on what your goals are. When i was deciding on a major i knew that I wanted to do something creative but didnt want to have to struggle to find a job. So I went to school for graphic design (this was 20 years ago) because I knew that I would be able to get a job. Maybe you can take classes in BOTH areas - its always smart to get a foundation in fine art. In the US most design schools have you take foundational courses in the arts.

I think that the best step to take is to confirm with the colleges that you plan on applying to and ask them which A Level subjects they accept. This may help guide you as you make a decision.
