Scott’s Answer

This is a great question. Computer Science has almost become as diverse as the Medical profession. I think this will depend on what about Computer science you are most interested in. Some prefer the Security aspect, some are LAN/WAN or Wireless, some are Web development, Coding, applications or hardware design or Engineering.... Among the may more options. First I would say during your Associates you should get a good idea of what direction you are most interested in. Second be honest with yourself, unless you plan to moving into senior levels of management or are looking for a specific nitch in Technology, generally a Masters degree is not needed. I have a successful career in Technology with only an Associates degree. But in technology you are always in learning mode. Technology, hardware and software change daily so to be successful you will always be training. That being said, Manufacturer certifications are very valuable when entering the job market as most positions I know of look for some sort of certification.

Dinesh’s Answer

Hi Harsha,

As Scott mentioned, computer science is diverse, it's again depends on your area interest of interest such as Networking, Security, Hardware, Software Dev., AI, etc., If you see current market is emerging technology is the hot cake. I would recommend if you interested AI (artificial intelligence) is the future technology, you can start something related it .

Skills You’ll Need: Knowledge of algorithms, statistics, mathematics, and broad knowledge of programming languages such as R and Python. Broad knowledge of how to structure a data problem, from framing the right questions to ask, to communicating the results effectively.

Dinesh recommends the following next steps:
