A job can have a large impact on your lifestyle. From the income earned, to the number of hours worked, and even the type of hours worked (days or nights). I think it is important to balance work with home life. It does take effort and constant adjustment. Multiple family commitments do add stress and a flexible work situation can be key to minimize the impact on family relationships.
Good luck!

Many people's lives revolve around their job or career. Other than sleeping, it is what most people spend the most time doing each day - often they actually spend more time working than sleeping. So, it is important that you choose to work for companies that treat their employees and customers well and compensate their employees for good performance. Working is much more rewarding if you do something that is meaningful to you - a job where you develop your abilities and talents into skills that allow you to create value for your company and its customers in ways that mean something to you personally. That way, everyone benefits. For example, while I've worked in making loans on large apartment buildings my whole career, my current position is the most rewarding because I work in Affordable Housing, which supports existing low income housing and helps to create more of it. As you assume more responsibilities, you may decide to seek more education related to your field. You may get promoted to higher positions within the company or choose to move to another company. As you succeed in your job, it may turn into a career. I started as a real estate appraiser, ended up owning my own appraisal business, sold it to one of my customers and went to work for them for 11 years, where I transitioned to underwriting and management. After that, I worked for 5 other companies in the same industry, before ending up at Fannie Mae.

Your can job has a significant impact on your life-style. With more and more companies providing flexible work arrangements, your work and personal life starts to blend together. While this provides some conveniences, it also can increase stress because when you work at home there is is no separation and as a result, you tend to work longer hours and weekends. With this current pandemic, many companies will find that it is cheaper for their people to work remotely and that they can be as productive at home as in the office
