Madison’s Answer

Hi Antoine,

When I was younger I actually aspired to be a chef and the first bit of advice I could give you would be to work in the food and beverage industry. Like any career path, experience is key. If I were you I would look into finding a restaurant to either work on intern for. That way you are getting your feet wet and having a good understanding of how exactly the industry works. Having knowledge of all aspects of your future career industry is important and sets you up for success. I hope this helped a little and good luck!!

Paige’s Answer

Hi Antoine,

I think that it would be a great idea to find a job at a restaurant, anything from dishwasher to line or prep cook. You will be able to see what it's like and if it is going to be a career that you would enjoy. It is a great industry to be able to work your way up so don't be afraid to do some grunt work at the start. Always be willing to work hard and fast and if you have any downtime ask other people if you can help them or you can learn something new because that is a great way to move up in the company. Good luck!
