Hi Deilyna,

I've had other people from the industry and my own search experience to back this up. There are plenty of different kinds of jobs within the industry. Aside from animation characters and objects, there are Layout artists, Storyboard artists, Character designers, Background Artists, and in-between artists who help with the 2D animation (this one is rare because not many businesses rely on traditional animation anymore.), Motion graphics... I could go on.

Though if I had to choose, I would put my money on Storyboard artists or character design. Both dont have you animating or it's very little, but they play a big part in the overall team effort. Storyboard artists also sometimes get paid more than animators because it is their job to layout the scene and how things should act. Character artists speak for itself, you take a definition of what the character should be like and go through hundreds of drawings and designs to find what fits, then make a model sheet for the final design so other players of the team can reference from it.
