Vet care is essential for so many families. I'm happy to hear that you are considering serving animals in this way.

Are there veterinary clinics in your neighborhood? The professionals there would probably be happy to chat with you about different schools and career paths when they're not serving customers. I have never met a vet that I thought was poorly educated. I have noticed that many of them are not asking critical questions of the pharmaceutical and pet food manufacturers, so I personally choose natural vets whenever possible.

You might also talk to the staff or director of any animal rescue clinics in your area. They interact with vets all the time and may have advice for you.
