I recommend starting by looking into a Business Degree, choose a focus (i.e.: business management, entrepreneurship) this can give you a lot of information on operating a business. Colleges offer many scholarships which you can qualify for, just get the information from the school financial department. Another option is to look at trade schools that specialize in mechanics (ie: UTI, Miller Monte) and get information from their financial department about what scholarships are available or offered. Good luck!

I was kind of In the same situation as you when I was younger. I knew 2 things. I wanted to be a firefighter and fix stuff. When I finished high school I did not have the best grades and I knew I wanted to get real life experiences and for me I really only have option and 19 years later I am still at.
Military has great programs such teaching you a trade with advance training, providing tuition assistance while serving, GI Bill, and when transitioning from service tailored classes for what you want to do after the military such as a business owner.
While I the navy I have received automotive and construction mechanic training, instructor and earned a AA in Automotive Technology and soon a Bachelors in Organizational Management without touching my GI Bill.
Do not procrastinate go talk to a school counselor, local business owners for the trade you are interested or even a local military recruiter. Do your research and good luck.
