Megan’s Answer

Hi Zakariya - If you're interested in Fine Arts I'd recommend researching online schools that specialize in the Fine Arts. There are several resources online that include rankings for Fine Arts schools (US News, Artsy, Format). Within these rankings you can narrow down the schools that are geographically located where you would like to attend school, and then focus on the curriculum that aligns with your interests. Good Luck!

Megan recommends the following next steps:

Take a look at these sites: https://www.format.com/magazine/resources/art/best-art-schools-world, https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-fine-arts-schools/painting-drawing-rankings, https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-15-top-art-schools-united-states

I actually have a sibling that is going to an Art School currently and studying painting. I would recommend looking into Tyler School of Art at Temple University, the Cornell Art School, and the PAFA school. Research top art schools on the US news website as well. These three stand out to me as they had interesting BFA programs with interesting projects for painters to take part in. Tyler and Cornell both offer study abroad programs in Rome for an entire semester or more. PAFA has its own art museum where you can intern. All schools have great faculty and are known for producing notable painters.
