David’s Answer

As some of the other answers show, there is much variability in the earning potential of psychologists. This can be related to the area of the country (or world) in which one works, as well as the level of experience, and the specialty area chosen. For example, working in a prison, as a care manager or in other administrative roles sometimes pay better. Another consideration is that working in underserved areas may provide some reduction in student loans.
