Carsin,
This is a misattributed myth that people claim came from Albert Einstein. Right now is not time to focus on why people use their brains up to a certain capacity. Let Carsin be the set example in his region how to use understanding, knowledge and wisdom everyday in his daily tasks even if its just communicating. Carsin show your people around you how to unlock discernement, temperance and dexterity as well as logic. Everyone is not the same. Hey Carsin have you ever noticed you never look the same in every mirror you pass by there is always always a little change whether slimmer, chubbier, lighter and or darker you always see little differences? Well sir that is how most people are they see, hear, understand and speak things differently in different seasons. Everyone uses their brain particularly to their settings and what is comfortable for them but everyone over 12 uses more than 10% of their brain. I wish you the best on your journey.

Hi Carsin!
I am not a doctor or scientist, but, I do have a "theory" on this. I think we only use a part of our brain because we try to think things through rather than acting on gut instinct. I find that when we STOP consciously thinking about something, the answer will come to us. That is, our brain is trying to work, but another part of our brain is trying to override that problem-solving ability!
I am left-handed. Prior to breaking my arm at a young age, I was ambidextrous. The arm did not heal properly, and the right hand was weak. When I went to the police academy, we were required to shoot some of the qualifying rounds with our weak hand. I had no idea how I was going to pull this off. One night, I had a dream. Since my fingers on that hand are small, I would use TWO fingers on the trigger! It worked!
Many years later, I made a traffic stop on a car that had been involved in a minor hit and run accident in a parking lot. As soon as the driver stepped out, I handcuffed him. That was not something I normally would do right away like that. I cannot explain why I did it. But, that guy ended up going totally ballistic. Something in me sensed that something was not right, and acted accordingly.
So basically, my theory is that one part of the brain is interfering with our ability to use other parts of our brain. Our higher-reasoning skills are both a blessing and a curse! Just one person's opinion. Interesting question!!
