I'm interested in a career in information technology. Are there jobs in aviation you suggest I look into?

I'm starting to learn about IT in school and so far am really enjoying it. Can you tell me more about what jobs in IT for an airline or in aviation are like? I have not worked in the airline industry, but Big Data technology is a subject I would suggest studying. The data Science field is the future for all industries.

Good question, one of the great things about the IT career field is that it can be done in any industry including aviation. All companies need IT people to run their websites, internal networks, employee systems...in the aviation industry, computers and IT are important in maintaing schedules, reservations, flight information, routes, keeping track of luggage and passenger information just to name a few areas. Computers/IT are also important in keeping track of maintenance of airplanes...
