- Talk to 4-5 trucking companies (start with their HR sites) to get a sense of which companies are in sync with your values and goals.
- If you know people in the field, talk to them (conduct informational interviews with them to learn from their experience).
- Research in your geographical location as well as at the national level. A couple of resources to start off with:

I'd say it depends what you're looking for. With any job, you have to prioritize what's important to you and rank that. Is salary your top priority? Is time off? Is flexibility? If you start with that in mind, you can interview and search trucking companies and compare what is available. Often times it will be that you do not get everything at one company. For instance, the company that pays the highest, might give the least flexibility on work schedule. Searching job listings, calling trucking companies, and talking to truckers can be helpful places to start. You may even consider going to a truck stop and asking some of the truckers there what they recommend. Make sure to go with a parent or adult supervisor if you do this.
