In general, any STEM-related degree that includes chemistry and biology is a good bachelor degree for biotech. Since the name itself tells what it is -- it's any technology that is used along with biological systems -- I would recommend an engineering degree along with chemistry and biology.
There are applications for biotech that involve human medicine, veterinary science and farming. Genetic engineering is a branch of biotech as well. Of course, a recommended succession to your bachelor degree would be graduate school in your preferred specialization area of biotech. Study in biochemistry, IMO, is an essential.
