You will also do physical fitness, first aid/CPR, emergency vehicle operations, directing traffic, crowd control, alcohol and narcotics, mental illness, community relations, and hopefully, how to protect yourself legally from complaints and lawsuits.
Every officer will draw a complaint against them at some point, ranging from "rudeness" to excessive force/unlawful arrest. There are organizations officers join for a relatively small dues payment, that provides you with legal counsel in these situations. It's well worth the investment.
