I'm not sure if there is a rate, but a close member of my family has been working in the solar space, first as an engineer and then in different other roles, and he is very satisfied about this field. I'd recommend that you find some Solar Engineers on LinkedIn and reach out to ask for their experiences, which may help you form your own point of view.
