Do a lot of women pursue careers in finance at PIMCO?

We have quite a few women at PIMCO! Many of whom have had long, successful careers in the world of finance. With your passion for math, and working with numbers, you are on your way to a great financial career. Just continue to hone your skills and work towards life goals that appeal to you. And don't be afraid to jump into a field that interests you, no matter the majority demographic.

A lot of women are very successful in finance. While working for many years in finance, I've had many bosses, colleagues, and direct reports that were women -- you will definitely not be alone if you were to pursue a career in finance. You should always feel empowered to be yourself and don't let your gender hinder you in any way.

I am a woman and started my career in finance and I would highly recommend it. Its a really good basis for any career and opens up a world of options for you. I agree with both of the earlier answers in that your gender should not prohibit or deter you from pursuing any career you are interested in. In the world today diversity and inclusiveness is becoming more and more important and recognised.
