Roberta A.’s Answer
I worked as the Outreach & Admissions Manager at Job Corps here in New Mexico. I enjoyed it very much. I was responsible for monitoring and tracking all of our new students, ensure they completed their orientation, and to facilitate their transition to Job Corps over their first 90 days. What I liked most about there position, was meeting young people from all over the state, who had a real passion for changing their lives and determining their own destiny. I consider my time there one of the most satisfying jobs I’ve ever had.

Hi Gabriel!
I did not participate in Job Corps, however, I have worked with individuals that have.
Those who enjoyed the experience went into it with an open mind and very few preconceived ideas of what
it would be like. They also had a very positive attitude.
Those who didn't enjoy their experience approached it with some negativity, because it was their last resort.
You will always get different answers when you ask a question like this, but if you will approach the opportunity with a positive outlook,
you will most likely have a really good experience with Job Corp.

Yes, I enjoyed my time at Job Corp. very much. I had the chance to leverage several of my skill sets, including X, Y and Z, as well as helping to bring additional value to the position when I learned how to do A, B and C for Job Corp. My goal is to be a value add for any employer for which I work, and I'm confident that if you asked my manager at Job Corp, they'd agree I achieved that goal.
