Yes look at the ranking of the law school. DO NOT select a school that is not accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA). Also, a higher-ranked school is often better. I would recommend not selecting a school that is ranked below the top 100; the higher the better.
When you're applying to schools, they will look at your GPA and your Law School Admission Test (LSAT) scores. The higher-ranked the school, the better your GPA and LSAT score need to be.
Law school takes 3 years and is very expensive (hundreds of thousands of dollars - your loans could be from $100,000 to $275,000). It is also three whole years during which you're going to school and not working.

If you apply to law schools, you should also consider how much scholarship money they are giving you. So basically a balance between the better ranked the school vs. how much scholarship money you can get.
