My nephew worked as a crew manager at Mcdonalds before. His manager made 40-50 thousand a year. He does work long hours and being in charge of several employees will be a challenge But the money is good. Remember the salad shakers back in the 90s maybe mention that in your interview. He will be impressed you researched items before.

Michelle’s Answer

As many have mentioned your need to define your rubic for measuring 'is it work it'

If the money, hours, customer/ staff interactions all are 'yes' in your book then yes it's work it.

Michelle recommends the following next steps:

List your goals/ want/ need to better define or 'worth it' statement.
Research (glassdoor etc)
Apply, interview and ask

Christopher’s Answer

When we talk about salaries being "worth it", this can mean different things. Everyone has different financial needs or desires. The real key here is that you are desiring to "move up" in a company. This will always be looked at as favorable no matter what else you may chose to do over time. Hiring managers like to see progression in a candidates career. If you become a manager at McDonald's you are demonstrating that you are career minded, willing to take on responsibility, the ability to lead other people, responsible and many other personal and professional characteristic's that will be sought after by other employers. The experience and track record of being promoted the real value of becoming a manager at McDonalds.
