I personally want to be a NASA astronomer however I took this personality test and it said it recommends me studying biomedicine so now I start to question myself should I still continue my dream or not. #science

Clarissa’s Answer

The other answers here are very good, it’s important to keep in mind those tests don’t have every job possible on them.

Michael’s Answer

Those personality tests are a dime a dozen. Stick with your passions. I have friends that navigated their way into NASA via the Airforce and Aerospace engineering. There are many other paths of course.

Kim’s Answer

Karen,

Those tests are just a guide. I think it shows that you belong in sciences, so that is good! Beyond that, I wouldn't use them to narrow it down to a specific field. There are so many little aspects of any job that are not captured by the tests. Astronomy and biomedicine are both scientific research positions, right? So, how do they differ? Go where you want to go! Don't make life-changing decisions on the basis of a test that may or may not be reliable and valid. In the meantime, it doesn't hurt to research both fields in greater depth.
