Frank’s Answer
I always wanted to be an engineer so my father said he would ask at the local garage if they would take me on as an apprentice motor engineer. My father knew the garage manager. I started the job with no knowledge of motor vehicles however the garage sent me to Trade School every Wednesday to learn about the internal combustion engine. The job was easy to learn as I was working with a qualified engineer who taught me the basics.
Hope this brief introduction is of help to you and I look forward to further questions.
