I am 14 and i want to help the local cat cafe get more attention because they are amazing and I want to work there when I am 16. What should I do?

I don't know if I should make like a website or give them a poster but I want to show them I am grateful they take care of the kitties! #college #art #career #cats #animals #artist #career-choice

Hi there!

I think you should reach out to the owner of the cat café and tell them about your ideas for advertisement/marketing! I think they would love to hear the enthusiasm and appreciation that you have for their business.

Some great ideas that I think are totally possible for you to do at your age include: (1) poster making, (2) telling your friends/family, and (3) posting about cat café on your social media (if you have any).

Zaara’s Answer

You could always write to them and ask. Write up your ideas or just simply ask how could you be of service. Look up who the manager is and send her/him a letter or email. Introduce yourself and include something inspiring. Tell them what is inspiring you. A lovely, handwritten note will sure not go unnoticed.

Want a new place to study? Suggest Cat Cafe. Want to celebrate your birthday? Suggest Cat Cafe. See where I am going with this? Anytime you have a group of people who are getting together, suggest to do it at the Cat Cafe. Once people experience it and hopefully love it like you do, then more people will come.

Social media goes a long way. Use it to help promote the café from your personal viewpoint and activities there. Show how much fun it is and share it with your friends. Supporting it yourself by going there and inviting your friends would be helpful. I would also suggest that you reach out to the manager and see if there is a way to volunteer and help with the cats or help a shelter that provides the cats for them.

Simeon’s Answer

If you're interested, share a couple of the ideas that you have with an owner or manager. Ask them if there is a slow shift that you could come in and discuss some of your ideas. Maybe draw up a few sketches and examples of what you had in mind and see if they're interested. I'm sure they would love some free advertising. Long-term, if you're interested in marketing, hold on to some copies of the work you end up doing and keep it in a portfolio you can put future work into. Make sure to involve other people in reviewing the finished product, so you can get some feedback before showing and using the finished product.
