A vocational rehabilitation counselor is a very rewarding career choice. I would not say it is difficult, it will keep you busy. You will most likely work with clients who have barriers to employment. You will help clients develop new skills to obtain employment. An example would be a client who worked construction all their career develops a significant back injury and can no longer do that job. You would access the clients professional background to see if they could handle a desk job. You would help this client get the training they need to succeed at a new career. A masters degree is helpful in obtaining a position as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.
