They can set their own hours depending. Of course the dermatologists that work 4 days per week make less money that those that work full time. Many expenses including office staff and rent are fixed whether the doctor is working or not.

The hours that dermatologists work are highly variable. During training, they work as many as 80 hours a week as residents. After graduation, they have the ability to make their own schedule and determine how many hours a week they want to work.
