I agree with Ray as there are many people entering the legal profession. However, there are many alternatives that one can do with a law degree instead of solely practicing law. I have friends and former law school classmates that do not technically practice law and work in the consulting industry, healthcare industry, insurance industry, etc. Thus, just because a person has a law degree doesn't mean that they are actually limited to just practicing law. I think many law school students make the mistake of thinking that they are only able to use their law degree to practice law and not realizing that their degree is useful in many different industries and jobs outside the practice of law. Thus, a law degree can be advantageous to your career whether you practice law or work elsewhere!
