Motivation comes from ownership and empowerment. As a PT, you will be designing plans of care and taking responsibility for physical outcomes of a patient in terms of ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, non-pharmalogical pain management, strength, endurance, balance. The ownership of this part of a patient's recovery is very motivating. You must do your very best every time and maintain excellence regardless of your current status. If you do your absolute best, own your poc, hold others accountable for mistakes, and keep quality a priority you will stay motivated.
