Hi Joseph -
To start I would recommend identifying what role you'd like to work in for a sports team or vendor affiliated with a league. There are so many positions from back-office management, financial roles, marketing, training & rehab, etc.. Once you have an idea of where you'd like to be positioned, developing and leveraging a network of people with experience will be crucial. Some options for this could be attending local events for sports team, sports industry conventions, and sites like Linkdin. Creating relationships with people will give you the best insight to how the job really is and provide potential openings that you may be a fit for.
