Add electrical/electronic and software/computer science courses in addition to mechanical engineering courses to your studies. Self driving cars, autopilot drones, manufacturing robots and most of the latest technology innovations combine several engineering disciplines. Having a varied skill set makes your resume stand out and gives you more opportunity to pursue several different interests. Entrepreneur/inventors like James Dyson and Elon Musk are knowledgeable in many fields.

I am glad you want to be a Mechanical Engineer! The best courses to take are all math classes and science classes! This will help you be very technically skilled within Engineering!

It will also be important to take a diverse range of courses and improve on language and writing skills as they are also used in the career of Mechanical Engineering! Best of luck!
