Nirah’s Answer

Vet tech salaries can be extremely variable. It would depend on where you live (certain areas have much higher or lower pay), and also your certifications. Some states require licensure of veterinary technicians (unlicensed staff are "vet assistants") and pay for licensed techs is much more than for unlicensed staff. Here in Saint Louis, I have seen vet assistant jobs posted for about $10 per hour (about $21,000 per year) and licensed vet techs start at 15-20 per hour ($30-45,000/year). Salaries on the east coast are typically quite a bit higher. Experienced techs or those working in some industries can make much more. Your best bet is to go to a job site like indeed and check out job postings in your area.
