Ryan’s Answer

In the beginning you have to offer value. That keeps people watching. I like to think you can do anything you put your mind to.

Nick Nimmin, Dee Nimmin, Darryl Eaves, Brian G. Johnson, Think Media... those are good channels to start to educate yourself on making youtube videos. Its not easy and it takes a LOT of work.

Fergal’s Answer

I'll answer this question because I have seen my daughter try to do it and I have met many YouTubers. It is very hard unless you have a very special talent. Some people are just natural performers and will make a career whether on TV, on stage, or on radio. YouTube is just one more outlet for your talents. If you have creative talents focus on those, practice all the time and become the best you can be. Sure, make some YouTube videos, its a fun way to show off your talent but don't rule out other ways to get in front of an audience such as talent shows.

Some YouTubers don't appear to have any skills, they just rant about whatever is on their mind - but trust me those people will be forgotten within months.

That's all I have for you. Enjoy.
