Not sure what are the subjects offered in IB but there`s 2 streams you can get into in 3d animation - Art or Tech . Apart from the basics , depending on my leaning i would want to pursue Art based or Coding based subjects if i`m looking to get into animation.

Najah’s Answer

You're going to want to get all of your foundational classes out of the way (math, science etc.). Once that's done and you have college credit for it you'll be able to focus on your animation.

Samik’s Answer

Alright dude, I am studying animation at university right now, I would say take physics, ap math, art, design and technology, these would the most ideal subjects for an animator, because these are for 2d and 3d animation both, and if your grades are average dont worry about it, I mean obviously try to improve them but, focus on your skills, and creative portfolio and demo reel, if you dont know what these are you can search it up, my gpa is 2.4 after graduating but i got into to University of California Berkley, they have an 11% acceptance rate and minimum 3.4 gpa , but they were so impressed with my work that they had to let me in, dont let anything stop you from pursuing your dreams.
