What college is suggested if I wish to become a lawyer?

It doesn't necessarily need to be the best, I just want a good college to go to if I want to be a lawyer.

(I am a member of Boys and Girls Club, and I wish to know more about my career and colleges.) #college #lawyer

Hi Xavier. There are a lot of good colleges out there awaiting someone like you to attend. First, decide what you would like to major in for undergraduate school. This major doesn't have to be lawyer specific. My main recommendation is to make sure you take courses that require a lot of writing because you will do tons of it when you attend law school. By the way, my son is pursuing law as well.

After undergraduate, you'll then select a law school of choice. Take a look at this law school list to give you an idea of the law schools out there. Good luck.

Hi, Xavier! It's not as important what college you choose to become a lawyer; rather, it's what courses, experience, and training you get in college that help you go to law school. Some colleges have pre-law programs; some don't.-- but any way that you can learn how to do research (because lawyers need to know the law, often based on past cases); speak clearly (because lawyers have to argue cases before a judge, their client, or other lawyers); and write well (for essentially the same reason), will set you up well for law school. One of the most successful lawyers I know was an English and comparative literature major in college.

Good luck!
