Richard’s Answer

It's wonderful that you love your country. India is a special place. The best way to improve it is to improve yourself. Be the best you can be and give back to the economy of India. Many Indians decide to work outside of India. This is great for the individual and the country where they move. However, this means that all of those great minds and talents are benefiting other countries. You could make a difference right where you live by using your talents and education to build your local economy and infrastructure.

Shruthi’s Answer

Hi,
I think the best way to improve quality of engineering is doing an inspection of how students are being taught in engineering schools. We're most often taught that engineering is the ultimate option for getting a job quickly and sadly that's how most of our students see it. But on the other hand, if you were to see it as a topic of interest and passion where you are genuinely interested in learning about how that machine works or how circuits and microchips are made or how bridges are constructed then you involve yourself in it and the subjects themselves become easy. Another aspect I have noticed being an engineer myself is that fact that most often the courses are theoretical, whereas it is the practical skills that will help at the job. And of course lastly, minimize the brain drain in our country by contributing to our country's growing economy and infrastructure...

Hope this helps!
